Our Spanish school
Since its creation in 1998, the Bioitzá Spanish School has been a space where students from various parts of the world immerse themselves in the culture and traditions of our community. This educational program offers personalized teaching, with one-on-one classes, combined with extracurricular activities that include local gastronomy experiences, fishing, hikes through the reserve, and meetings with elders who share their stories and knowledge.
Students have the unique opportunity to stay with local families, promoting deep cultural exchange and strengthening community ties.
In addition, we are members of the Mayan language academies, created to rescue and preserve Mayan languages, promoting the revitalization of the Maya Itzá language as an essential part of our identity.

Education
The Association for the Protection of the Itzá Biosphere firmly believes that education is the fundamental pillar for community development and cultural conservation. Through various educational initiatives, we seek to transmit the legacy of ancestral Maya Itzá wisdom to new generations and to those who wish to learn about our cultural wealth.
